The drug pills found with an Arab expat

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: An Arab expatriate was arrested for attempting to smuggle 132,000 Captagon pills into the country via Abdali border, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Director of Land Customs Department Meshan Al-Saeedi explained that customs officers at Abdali border checkpoint had received information about a vehicle with large load of drugs approaching Kuwait from Iraq.

They immediately went on alert and monitored every vehicle that arrived from Iraq. When they inspected a half-lorry that arrived at the border checkpoint, they found 132,000 Captagon pills hidden in it. The Arab driver was arrested and referred with the pills to the concerned authorities for investigations. Al-Saeedi appreciated Abdali customs officers for their alertness and diligence in hampering such drug-smuggling attempts. Meanwhile, the Farwaniya police have arrested a Syrian for trading in locally-manufactured booze, reports Al-Anba daily
