Zain seeks to bolster national workforce in the private sector

Kuwait City, 19 Oct: Continuing to actively support and participate in career fairs to bolster the national workforce in the private sector, Zain today announces its main sponsorship of the second edition of Watheefti, Kuwait’s biggest career gathering. The event is held at the Arena and features over 100 organizations from the local public and private sectors from all industries, and witnesses 60 workshops and panels for students, graduates, and job seekers.

The event’s opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Adel Al Mana, Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, Zain’s HR team, as well as top executives and and officials from public and private sector organizations.

Zain joins this unique gathering for the second time running to affirm its active participation in the biggest career fairs that attract students, graduates, and job seekers.  By being a part of this event, the company seeks to enrich the local job market, exchange experiences, and encourage local talents to join the private sector, which is one of the Kuwaiti economy’s main pillars.

Through its dedicated booth at Watheefti, Zain showcases its HR policy and available vacancies, while introducing visitors to its wonderful workplace environment. Zain’s HR team also provides a detailed explanation of the nature of work at various departments and divisions and answer any questions and inquiries visitors have.

In addition, Zain uses this unique platform to introduce students and graduates to its leading experience in the local telecom and ICT sector by sharing success stories of local talents that contributed to its success as one of the leaders of the Kuwaiti market.

Watheefti is considered Kuwait’s biggest career gathering and features in its second edition over 100 organizations that represent the most vibrant industries in the market. The event also witnesses 60 interactive workshops, sessions, and panels that cover key topics related to personal and professional skills that are valuable to any new job seeker, presented by some of the best speakers and experts in their fields.

The sessions cover topics like AI’s role in careers, work in the public sector vs. the private sector, leadership skills, creating a career path, preparing for job interviews, writing impactful CVs, the art of dialogue and debate, workplace cultures, building career relations, presentation and public speaking skills, and much more.

In its first edition, Watheefti achieved huge success by attracting over 20,000 passionate and dedicated young people who were looking to start their new career journeys. Over 65 employers from the public and private sectors joined the event, which created a unique space for them to conduct interviews at the venue.
