KUWAIT CITY, July 2: The Kuwait Football Association has officially announced the player registration periods for the 2025-2026 sports season, including both re-registration for current players and registration for new signings.
The first registration window opens today, July 3, and will run through September 20. The winter transfer window is scheduled to begin on January 2, 2026, and will close on January 31, 2026.
In addition, the Association has confirmed the start dates for the upcoming domestic leagues. The Zain Premier League will kick off on September 12, while the Zain First Division League will commence on September 14.
Notably, the Association has decided to maintain the current foreign player quota. Each club will still be allowed to register up to five professional (foreign) players for the new season.
As teams continue to reinforce their squads ahead of the new campaign, Al-Shabab, who return to the Zain Premier League this season, have secured the signing of Ahmed Ghazi. Ghazi previously played for Al-Fahaheel last season and had earlier stints with Al-Sahel.
Kuwait Club has renewed the contract of Hamoud Al-Sanousi for another season. The Whites are actively strengthening their squad with domestic talent as part of their preparations for the 2025-2026 season.
Tadamon, which finished sixth in the Premier League last season and successfully avoided relegation, has announced an external training camp in Alexandria, Egypt. The squad will depart on August 25 for a 10-day camp, during which they are scheduled to play three friendly matches as part of their pre-season preparations.
