KUWAIT CITY, June 18: Zain Kuwait marked the successful conclusion of the first season of The Padel League (TPL), one of the GCC’s premier private padel leagues, organized by Tour Events. Zain was the main sponsor and a key success partner of the 9-month series, featuring players from across Kuwait, the GCC, and the wider region.

At the closing ceremony of the series’ 9th and final tournament, Zain, represented by Waleed Al-Khashti, Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer, honored the winners alongside Abdulrahman Al-Musbahi, Director General of Tour Events, the tournament organizer.

The series brought together 580 participants across all tiers and categories, including Men’s, Women’s, 40+, and Under-16 competitions. Held over nine months, the league featured nine tournaments across four tiers, creating a structured, competitive platform that reflected the rapid growth of padel in Kuwait and the rising demand for professionally organized sporting experiences.

The Padel League is a fully independent private padel series built on competitive integrity, with a tiered format that allows players to compete at structured levels while building consistency, ranking, and progression throughout the season. The model contributed to elevating the standard of competition and helped position TPL as one of Kuwait’s biggest padel platforms.

Zain’s support for The Padel League comes as part of the company’s continued commitment to Kuwait’s local sports scene and to empowering athletic platforms that engage the community, encourage active lifestyles, and provide opportunities for athletes of different age groups and skill levels. The company has consistently supported major sporting events and emerging sports, with padel becoming one of the fastest-growing and most popular activities among youth in Kuwait.

Zain’s partnership with The Padel League reflects its belief in the importance of private-sector participation in developing sustainable sports platforms that create long-term value for athletes, fans, organizers, and the wider community. The company continues to support initiatives that promote healthy competition, youth engagement, and community development, while contributing to the growth of Kuwait’s sports ecosystem.
