KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: As preparations gain pace for Kuwait to host the 13th edition of the Saudi Super Cup, Zain welcomed the tournament’s original trophy to its Shuwaikh headquarters, marking the first stop on its promotional tour in Kuwait ahead of the highly anticipated competition this December.

As the tournament’s official Hosting Partner, Zain is committed to building excitement and enhancing fan engagement around this major sporting event, which the nation will host for the first time in the competition’s history.

The trophy showcase built excitement and brought fans closer to the tournament ahead of the matches, which are expected to attract widespread interest from football enthusiasts across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the wider region. During the stop at its HQ, Zain employees and their families had the opportunity to take commemorative photos with the trophy.

Zain’s partnership with the much-anticipated event followed the announcement of an agreement between the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, represented by its exclusive commercial partner Saudi Media Group (SMC Vibes), and a Kuwaiti alliance comprising Alrai Media Group and Aayan Leasing and Investment Company, under which the alliance became an official partner for hosting the Saudi Super Cup in Kuwait.

The 2026-2027 Saudi Super Cup will take place from 19 to 23 December 2026 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, featuring four Saudi clubs: Al Nassr, Al Ahli, Al Qadsiah, and Al Kholood, competing for the title in the tournament’s 13th edition.

Kuwait will become the eighth host destination in the Saudi Super Cup’s history, following previous editions held in several cities across Saudi Arabia and abroad, including London, Abu Dhabi, and Hong Kong. This year will mark the tournament’s first appearance in Kuwait.

Through its partnership with the Saudi Super Cup, Zain continues to build on its longstanding support for major sporting events hosted in Kuwait, following its involvement in prominent competitions such as Khaleeji Zain 26, the French Super Cup, and the Zain Premier League (Dawri Zain).
