Kuwait City, Mar 24: Zain has brought back its highly anticipated drive-thru Girgeaan celebration in collaboration with Wainkoum for the second year running. Hundreds of vehicles visited Zain’s headquarters in Shuwaikh to join the one-of-a-kind celebration of the much-cherished local tradition of Girgeaan (candy distribution).

This event came under the umbrella of Zain’s annual Ramadan social campaign, Zain Alshuhoor, which aims at sharing the joys and blessings of the Holy Month with the entire Kuwaiti community, especially with children and young people who shape its most vibrant segment. Ramadan brings a wonderful opportunity to experience local traditions like Girgeaan, which the company celebrates every year with a fresh and distinctive approach.

For the second year running, Zain brought back its drive-thru Girgeaan celebration at its main headquarters in Shuwaikh, which was widely received by families and children. For two hours straight, hundreds of vehicles visited Zain HQ to join the fun and participate in the many segments the company had prepared. The event, which came in partnership with the creative minds at Wainkoum, is the only of its kind locally and has become a local sensation.

This year, many of Zain’s strategic community partners from both the public and private sectors join its annual Ramadan social campaign, Zain Alshuhoor. The campaign features a wide range of humanitarian, charitable, social, religious, health, and sports programs that continue throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Zain Alshuhoor is one of Kuwait’s biggest and most successful community programs during the Holy Month. Every year, the company introduces a bigger, renewed version of the campaign that expands upon the previous year’s initiatives and programs. The campaign strives to share the blessings of this holy month with the entire Kuwaiti people.
