KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26, (Agencies): Actress Zahra Arafat emphasized that excessive talk and public appearances by artists can alienate the audience. She stated: “An artist must maintain a certain image in front of the public and make them miss them, not be part of every trend.” She pointed out that her children were in the media spotlight when they were children, and many people knew them. However, a “shocking” comment from a lady on social media made her keep them away from the limelight.

On another note, Arafat revealed that she has decided not to perform any scenes involving “violence” in acting. She explained, “I have retired from action scenes and stunts completely. I will not harm any of my colleagues, as I do not want to bear the responsibility of causing harm to anyone.” She mentioned that in her recent series “Kathbat April,” which aired last Ramadan, she had a scene where she had to hit “stuntmen” who played the role of her son, Saudi actor Saud Boushahri. However, when she hit the first “stuntman,” she did not like it, and the second “stuntman” was canceled.

In a different context, and in response to some claims that she is materialistic, she replied, “They say a lot about me, but why should I pretend and take a role that I don’t like just for the sake of others? So that they won’t be upset? It’s a matter of supply and demand, and I try as much as possible not to have any disagreements in this regard.” She confirmed that some people who enter the entertainment industry believe they will become wealthy quickly. She added in statements to the program “Layali Al Kuwait,” “The entertainment industry has a pay scale like any other job in the world, and it is open to everyone. Those who prove themselves, we support them until they succeed, and there are many talents who do not know where the right channel is to showcase their abilities, and they need an opportunity.”

Zahra also talked about the success of the series “Su’ Al Manakh” (Bad Climate), saying, “The work was done a long time ago, it was shot under ‘quiet fire,’ and thank God its impact exceeded expectations, and the audience liked it greatly, especially since it includes old songs and beautiful traditional costumes and decorations.” She revealed that the director of the work, Ramadan Khasrooh, was precise and hardworking in the locations, especially since he ensures that all the details are of the highest quality.

It is worth mentioning that the series “Su’ Al Manakh” is written and directed by Ramadan Khasrooh, starring Zahra Arafat, Turki Al-Youssef, Jamal Al-Redhaan, Ahlam Hassan, Abdulnasser Al-Zayer, Abdullah Al-Baloushi, Nora Al-Omairi, and others. The series is set in Kuwait in the early 1980s, during the prosperity of the climate market and its impact on society and the community.
