Youth volleyball excellence: Kuwait prepares for Gulf Youth Games under new plan

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: Nayef Al-Failakawi, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Training and National Teams Committee, has unveiled the strategy for the preparation of the 2005-born youth team. This preparation is in anticipation of their participation in the upcoming first Gulf Youth Games scheduled to take place in the Emirati city of Dubai from April 16 to May 2.

Al-Failakawi stated, “The committee has greenlit the assembly of the technical and administrative team for the youth squad, led by the national coach, Jassem Al-Tarrawah, alongside his Egyptian counterpart, Osama Madkour. The team’s medical needs will be overseen by Dr. Moataz Ezz El-Din, with Talal Jassim as the team supervisor. Additionally, the preliminary roster for the youth team has been established, featuring 25 players in readiness for the Gulf tournament.”

He further mentioned that the technical staff is set to meet with the players today to outline the comprehensive preparation plan. This plan includes an external training camp scheduled during the spring break, the details of which will be disclosed later. Al-Failakawi emphasized the federation’s dedication to nurturing a new generation of standout players, aiming to elevate the stature of Kuwaiti volleyball on both a regional and international scale.
