Yarmouk strengthens volleyball squad with two Cameroonian signings

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: Yarmouk Club has bolstered its first-team volleyball squad by signing Cameroonian players Adam Ibrahim and Aba ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The club has also recruited several experienced Kuwaiti players, including setters Hussein Ashkanani and Mohammed Adel Al-Shammari, outside hitter Mohammed Bash, and libero Hussein Ali, strengthening the squad in several positions.

Yarmouk began its preparations for the new season in early July with intensive daily training under national coach Khaled Al-Mutairi. The team played its first preseason friendly against Kazma yesterday as part of its preparations.

Al-Mutairi said the team’s preparations are progressing well, adding that the arrival of the Cameroonian professionals and experienced local players has improved the squad’s strength and readiness.

He said the team now has a good blend of youth, experience, and ambition, while the coaching staff is focused on improving the players’ technical and physical levels ahead of the new campaign.

Al-Mutairi expressed hope that Yarmouk can achieve its objectives and produce a stronger season that meets the expectations of the club’s management and fans.
