KUWAIT CITY, Feb 21: Today marks the conclusion of the third round of the al Handball League at the Sheikh Saad Abdullah Complex. At 5:00 pm, Al-Qadisiya will face Yarmouk, followed by a 7:00 pm match between Al-Arabi and Khaitan.

In the previous matches, Kuwait Club secured its third consecutive victory, defeating Sulaibikhat 32-28, while Al-Salmiya also claimed its third win in a row by beating Al-Fahaheel 33-26. This places Kuwait Club and Al-Salmiya at the top of the standings with 6 points each, while Sulaibikhat has one point, and Al-Fahaheel has four points.

In today’s matchups, Al-Qadisiya, with two points, aims to overcome Yarmouk, which has faced defeats in the last two rounds, in a bid to stay close to the leading teams. Yarmouk, on the other hand, seeks its first victory or, at the very least, to secure a single point.

The second match features a clash between Al-Arabi and Khaitan, both with two points from a win or a loss. The outcome of today’s match will determine whether the winner stays close to the top teams or if the loser falls behind.

Meanwhile, the Kuwait Handball Club delegation departed for Doha, Qatar, to participate in the 40th edition of the Gulf Men’s Cup Winners’ Club Championship hosted by the Qatari Al-Arabi Club from the 25th of this month to the 5th of next March. The delegation, led by first-team manager Sameh Al-Hajri, includes the technical staff, led by national coach Haitham Al-Rashidi, along with players such as Qatari professional Frankis, Portuguese Hernandez, and Brazilian Vinicio.
