NEW YORK, Nov 18: X, one of the world’s largest social media platforms, experienced a widespread outage on Monday, affecting thousands of users globally.

According to Down Detector, reports of service disruption began shortly after 11:20 GMT, with over 3,250 users registering issues. Among those affected, 58% reported problems with the X app, 23% experienced website access issues, and 10% encountered server connection problems.

The outage coincides with reports from Cloudflare, a network services provider supporting thousands of websites, which indicated a potential major service disruption. Over 10,500 reports of issues were logged on Down Detector by 11:30 GMT.

Social media users reacted quickly to the outage, with many commenting on the simultaneous disruption of X and Cloudflare services, highlighting the scale of the disruption.

The platform’s operator has yet to release an official statement on the cause or expected resolution time.
