KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: The Kuwait General Authority for Food and Nutrition, represented by the Hawally Governorate Inspection Department, carried out an inspection campaign targeting several food establishments to verify compliance with health requirements and applicable regulations.

The inspection tour resulted in 23 violations involving a range of food safety and regulatory breaches. Authorities found food handlers working without the required health certificates, while one worker was found to have visible wounds.

Other violations included expired health licenses, failure to comply with hygiene, health, and technical requirements, and handling and selling food under conditions that did not meet required standards. Inspectors also recorded cases involving the use of additional spaces beyond the boundaries of the areas licensed to the establishments.

The Authority said it took the necessary measures against establishments in violation, in accordance with applicable regulations. It stressed that inspection campaigns and field tours will continue across food establishments to strengthen compliance with health requirements and protect consumers’ health and safety.
