Worshippers injured in mosque

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Three worshipers were injured when part of the décor gave way in at Al-Khuza’ei mosque in Jahra during the evening prayer, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs was informed of the incident and that the mosque will be closed for a week, while prayer services will be held in the courtyard of the mosque. The Assistant Undersecretary for Mosques Affairs Ibrahim Al-Khazi told the daily to ensure the safety of worshipers, “A decision has been taken to close the mosque for a week, and prayers will be in the mosque’s courtyard.”
