KUWAIT CITY, Jan 8: The issuance of work permits was suspended on Sunday in various departments affiliated to Public Authority for Manpower after Ministry of Interior amended the “visa entry” form, reports Al-Nahar daily quoting informed sources.They explained that the authority is dealing with the problem in the automated system for issuance of work permits. It coordinated with Ministry of Interior to find a quick solution to fix the system before transactions accumulate and ensure the interests of employers are not disrupted.The defect emerged after the electronic orders for the issuance of work permits had suddenly stopped being issued. Investigations on the cause of the defect revealed that Ministry of Interior had input a fl aw when it amended the “visa entry” form. The printers in various departments of the authority did not respond to the orders, which forced officials to request Ministry of Interior to fix the problem as soon as possible.
