Work at Philippines embassy temporary HQ stopped

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: Despite the health precautionary measures taken by the temporary consular section of the Philippine Embassy at the Kuwait Disabled Sports Club in Hawally, one of its employees exhibited coronavirus symptoms recently, reports Al-Rai daily. Ambassador of the Philippines to Kuwait Mohd. Noordin Lomondot confirmed in a statement to the daily that an employee showed symptoms of the disease two days ago, so work in the temporary office has been suspended until the results of the swab tests of all employees in the Consular Section are out.

He added the temporary headquarters is currently being sterilized according to the approved health procedures in order to guarantee the safety of both employees and visitors, indicating the results of the swab tests of the rest of the employees will determine the period of work suspension. He expects that the results will be out within two days. He reiterated that this temporary headquarters contributed to the completion of thousands of transactions for the members of the Filipino community.
