KUWAIT CITY, March 8: Four Asian expatriates – two men and two women – were arrested for running a liquor factory in Sabah Al-Ahmad area from where 50 barrels of locally manufactured liquor and manufacturing equipment were confiscated. According to sources, when Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa received information about some expatriates using a house in Sabah Al- Ahmad area for manufacturing liquor, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the team of officers raided the house and arrested four Asian expatriates including two women. When questioned, they confessed to manufacturing liquor and selling them to their clients, revealing that the women were involved in selling the liquor. About 50 barrels of liquor and equipment used for manufacturing liquor were confiscated from the house. The suspects were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, 33 Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for driving recklessly and performing stunts in Umm Al-Haiman and Sabahiya areas.
