KUWAIT CITY, April 26: A Kuwaiti female engineer working for the Ministry of Electricity and Water who reportedly fled the country and went to Iran with millions of dinars is said to have settled in Ahwaz, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested the Iranian who had accompanied the woman to Iran. The man was arrested upon his return to the country two days ago.

However, he denied helping her. He added, it is she who met him when he was at the airport to see his wife off. The source added the security authorities in Kuwait are in contact with their Iranian counterparts to arrest the woman and extradite her to Kuwait since she is wanted by law in Kuwait.

Teachers sacked: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has terminated the services of two teachers – one male and one female — for beating two students in two different incidents, reports Al-Jarida daily. The Undersecretary for General Education Fatma Al-Kandari said the ministry followed what was circulated on the social media showing the teacher assaulting a student in one of the schools in the Capital Governorate, as well as the case of the female teacher who had beaten a schoolgirl in Ahmadi. Al-Kandari stressed the ministry will not allow such unacceptable behavior and pointed out the doors of the ministry are open to receive complaints.
