Woman loses all in infidelity case – Social media misused

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: A Family Court Judge dissolved the marriage between a man and his estranged wife, and ordered the woman to refund KD 10,000 (advanced payment of the dowry). She was forfeited of all rights deserved by a woman in a divorce, as she was found guilty in the entire impasse.

According to the case file, the man actually caught the woman sending messages to strange men via social media application WhatsApp, which included her nude pictures. It was on this basis the plaintiff lawyer Bashar Al-Nassar submitted a complaint at a police station accusing the woman of infidelity and disobedience.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman truly engaged more than one man in WhatsApp chats and calls, as per data retrieved. A case of extramarital activities was registered against her. She is said to have perpetrated her acts for long hours late at night.

This prompted the lawyer to file a divorce lawsuit on behalf of his client, seeing the issue was beyond reconciliation level. The attorney argued that the man may have conducted some bad deeds but it was no excuse for the woman to engage in extramarital activities, indicating she could have filed for divorce instead. He presented documented proof showing the man was generous and dutiful to the woman through trips he organized and expensive gifts he showered on her.
