Woman among gang of three caught selling MoH medicines

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 16: Personnel from the General Investigation Department have arrested a gang of three persons, including a woman who works as a receptionist in a private hospital for selling medicines belonging to the Ministry of Health for a throwaway price, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the arrest came after the CID received a tip-off from an unidentified police source. Police then set a trap and arrested the main suspect and during interrogation he admitted to the charge and gave police detailed information how he managed to steal the medicines. Police have seized from the gang a quantity of medicines. The trio has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Transfer okayed: The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh is said to have issued instruction to lift ‘section 75’ which had been imposed on the employees of the Al-Watan newspaper, reports Al-Anba daily. Forgers caught: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested a gang of forgers for selling revenue stamps, reports Al-Shahed daily. The authorities then set a trap for the suspects, two Pakistanis and arrested them and during interrogation they admitted to forging KD 10 revenue stamps and selling them to an Egyptian mandoub for half the price. Police then raided the apartment of the suspects in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and caught the suspects. Police have seized from the men equipment used for making stamps and referred the men to the authorities. Police have also seized from the men stamps ready for sale. Police are looking for one of the accomplices.

Caught in chase: Police from the Capital Governorate have arrested an unidentified Egyptian who had been sentenced in absentia for 15 years imprisonment in drugs case, reports Al-Rai daily.
