KUWAIT CITY, Sept 6: The withdrawal of companies from the Kuwaiti bourse is ongoing as seven companies, whose capitals are around KD 133.8 million, recently announced the dates of their withdrawal from the market. There are fears that this move will affect the liquidity of the market and traders, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.

They explained that the market value of the companies is about KD 80 million. There is worry over the continuity of this withdrawal trend that it will affect the evaluation of the market and comparison with other markets. Meanwhile, Kuwait Medical Services Company has announced its withdrawal from the market effective from Sept 14.

The Food Company will withdraw on Nov 30. Poultry Company and Flex will withdraw on Jan 31, 2017. Ikarus will leave the bourse on Feb 9, 2017, Taiba on Feb 14, 2017 and Future Communications on Dec 26, 2016.
