LOS ANGELES, March 5, (Agencies): Get ready for more action as Will Smith and Martin Lawrence gear up for another adventure on the big screen! The dynamic duo of the Bad Boys franchise has officially completed filming for the fourth installment, confirmed by the 55-year-old Smith on Monday.

Sharing the exciting news on Instagram, Smith posted a photo of himself and Lawrence, 58, standing near the Centennial Wheel at Chicago’s Navy Pier. The caption read, “WRAPPED! Nothin’ but Magic every time I’m with my guy. See y’all June 7 for @BADBOYS 4!!”

The Bad Boys saga kicked off in 1995 with the original movie, starring Smith as Mike Lowrey and Lawrence as Marcus Burnett, two Miami detectives tackling drug trafficking and other crimes. The franchise continued with Bad Boys II in 2003 and Bad Boys for Life in 2020, both contributing to the series’ blockbuster success.

While rumors about a new film circulated over the years, it wasn’t until January 31, 2023, that the actors confirmed the eagerly anticipated sequel through a viral video. Smith, in the clip, teased viewers with an announcement before driving to an undisclosed location. Along the way, he dropped a hint by playing “Shake Ya Tailfeather” from the Bad Boys II soundtrack.

Upon arriving at the undisclosed location and knocking on the door, Lawrence enthusiastically confirmed the news. “It’s about that time!” Smith continued the excitement, confirming the production of the fourth film, saying, “It’s official, y’all.
