WHO official lauds Kuwait’s effort in vaccinating its population

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: World Health Organisation Representative in Kuwait Dr. Assad Hafeez on Wednesday lauded Kuwait’s efforts in countering the spread of coronavirus and commended the process of speeding up vaccinations in the country. In a statement to KUNA after meeting with Chairman of the Board for Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer, Dr. Hafeez touted Kuwait’s cooperation with WHO in regards to combating and containing COVID-19.

He also commended the KRCS regional and international efforts in curbing the spread of coronavirus. On his part, Dr. Al-Sayer commended WHO efforts in countering coronavirus and also urged the organization to provide more vaccination to refugees and the displaced worldwide. He affirmed that the KRCS was looking forward for more cooperation with WHO especially within the fight against coronavirus. (KUNA)
