WhatsApp is currently in the process of developing a feature that enables users to customize the theme accent of the popular messaging app on iOS, as revealed by information provided by a feature tracker. In the recent beta version of the iOS app, the company introduced a green tint to certain sections of the interface. It seems that in an upcoming update, users will have the ability to choose from five different theme color accents for the app. Concurrently, there are reports of the service testing a sticker editor feature in the latest beta version.

In a recent update of the WhatsApp beta for iOS, Meta-owned platform included code indicating that users will soon have the option to select an accent color to theme specific elements of the user interface, as disclosed by the feature tracker WABetaInfo. These elements include the message counts on the right side of the chat list, the circles surrounding status updates, the colors of selected tabs at the bottom, and certain buttons on the interface.

In the current stable version of WhatsApp for iOS, these UI elements are presented with a blue color accent. WABetaInfo shared a screenshot revealing five color accent options, providing users with a choice between WhatsApp's green accent, the existing blue option, an off-white color, pink, and purple. Users will reportedly receive information that choosing one of these five options will only modify the app's main branding color.
