Well-known Kuwaiti singer to take part in operetta Sun of Civilizations

Al-Mehanna to release single titled Dawa’atkom

KUWAIT CITY, July 26: Well-known Kuwaiti singer Nabeeil Shuail will participate in the unique and great operetta entitled, “Sun of Civilizations,” on the occasion of the anniversary of the Throne celebration – commemoration of the King’s ascension to the throne, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Other performers include Jordanian singer Diana Karzon and Ahmad Al-Jumairi from Bahrain. The operetta is written and produced by Mosa’ab Al-Anzi, composed by Radwan Al-Dairi, distributed by Tunisian Maestro Essam Al-Sharayti and directed by Faisal Al-Halaimi. Singer Osama Al-Mehanna has announced his intention to release a new single entitled, “Dawa’atkom” (Pray for Me), reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Mehanna also composed the melody while Eyad Ibrahim wrote the lyrics of the song which will be recorded in Kuwait.

Kuwaiti comedian Tariq Al-Ali has posted a video clip on Twitter in response to those who dragged his name into the fake certificates issue, reports Al-Anba daily. Commenting on the video, Kuwaiti writer Fajr Al-Saeid urged the comedian to perform in a play tackling the issue. Al-Ali welcomed the idea on the condition that Al-Fajr will write the script for the play.

The daily telephoned Al-Ali to verify the information, during which he expressed happiness and pride over the chance to work with Al-Fajr, who expressed the same feelings stating it is an honor to collaborate with Al-Ali.
