Weekend preview: Kuwait to experience light to moderate winds, scattered clouds, and cool nights.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: The Meteorological Department anticipates generally mild daytime weather with cool to cold conditions at night over the upcoming weekend.

Suleiman Al-Sindi, Head of the Agricultural and Hydrological Forecasting Department, shared with the Kuwait News Agency that weather forecasts and numerical models suggest the influence of a high-pressure system from the northwest. This will bring light to moderate northwesterly winds periodically throughout the country.

Today, Thursday, the weather is expected to be moderate and partly cloudy to cloudy, accompanied by northwesterly winds ranging from 12 to 45 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are projected to reach between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the sea will experience light to moderate conditions, occasionally with waves reaching heights of 2 to 6 feet.

As night falls, temperatures will drop to cold levels with light to moderate northwesterly winds at speeds between 12 and 35 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are expected to range from 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, and the sea will maintain light to moderate conditions with waves between 2 and 5 feet.

Looking ahead to Friday, the weather will remain moderate with light to moderate northwesterly winds intermittently active at speeds between 10 and 40 kilometers per hour. Scattered clouds will appear and maximum temperatures are forecasted between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, occasionally experiencing waves between 2 and 6 feet.

Friday night will see cold to cold and cloudy conditions, accompanied by light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at speeds between 8 and 32 kilometers per hour. The sea will maintain light to moderate conditions with waves between 2 and 4 feet.

As Saturday approaches, the weather is expected to be moderate to partly cloudy, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at speeds between 8 and 30 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are anticipated to range from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.

Saturday night will bring cold to cold weather with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at speeds between 6 and 26 kilometers per hour. The expected minimum temperature will range from 9 to 12 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 3 feet.
