KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The head of the Violations Removal Department of the Capital Governorate Municipality Branch, Engineer Abdullah Jaber, said field trips carried out by the department’s inspectors within the framework of implementing Resolution 127/2020 following the opening of the fourth transitional phase of the corona pandemic, the department has issued more than 50 citations to violators of decisions issued by the Council of Ministers and the health authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, according to the instructions issued by the health authorities it is mandatory to wear face masks, gloves and respect the physical distancing laws to limit the spread of the new Corona virus, Covid-19, as well as the stores must ensure and adhere to the requirements as mandated by law.
During the field tours carried out by the supervisory teams in Capital Governorate more than 50 citations were issued, including 10 for shops for non-compliance with health requirements and operating a shop in a manner that poses an imminent threat to the health and safety of the public, 20 for displaying goods in front of the shop without a license, 8 for placing adverts before obtaining a license from the municipality, and 25 warnings to shops for not adhering to health requirements and an administrative closure of a store.
Jaber called on the owners of shops and commercial complexes to adhere to health requirements and take all preventive measures such as wearing gloves and masks and obliging the public to maintain physical distancing in order to ensure their safety.
The Public Relations Department of the Municipality has called on citizens and residents to call the Hotline 139, which works around the clock, or communicate via the municipality’s accounts @kuwmun on social media sites or via WhatsApp 24727732 in the event of any complaint related to the municipality.
