KUWAIT CITY, Mar 2: Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai on Monday conducted a field tour of several water factories and the Al-Fardha vegetable market in Al-Sulaibiya, as part of efforts to assess the readiness of vital sectors and ensure the steady availability of essential commodities during exceptional circumstances.

The minister began his visit at the “Al Rawdatain Water” factory, where he was briefed on the size of the strategic water stock, current production capacity, and round-the-clock operating mechanisms designed to maintain uninterrupted supply for consumers.

He then visited the “Aqua Gulf” factory, where production is also running continuously, with intensified efforts to boost output and support market stability by maintaining product availability across the country.

At the “Al-Fardha” vegetable market, Minister Boodai inspected the daily incoming quantities of produce and the available stocks of fruits and vegetables. He also reviewed supply and distribution mechanisms to ensure goods continue reaching all areas of Kuwait smoothly and without disruption.

In a statement, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry affirmed that water supplies in the local market remain abundant and the strategic stock is sufficient. It added that factories are operating at full capacity to meet consumer demand and support price stability.

The ministry further confirmed that the flow of vegetables and food commodities is proceeding normally, noting ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to maintain regular supply and ensure stability in the local market.
