KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The “Warriors” club emerged as champions in the inaugural Men’s Super Ice Hockey Championship of the 2023-2024 sports season. Simultaneously, the “Wild Cats” team secured the women’s category title in these championships, both of which were hosted by the Winter Sports Club two days ago. The “Warriors,” the defending champions from the previous season, secured victory by defeating the second-placed “Stars” with a score of 7-4 in a fiercely contested match.
The winning team effectively seized their opportunities and displayed exceptional skills. In contrast, the “Wild Cats” secured their championship with an emphatic win over the “Blue Waves,” triumphing with a score of three goals to nil. The victorious players delivered remarkable performances in both offense and defense, paving the way for their team to claim the championship in this competition. Club President Fahid Al-Ajmi explained that the club’s organization of sporting championships encompassing various winter sports disciplines and age groups is aimed at providing club players with opportunities to passionately and safely engage in their preferred sports. He emphasized that hosting these tournaments also serves as preparation for players to represent national teams in international competitions, highlighting the outstanding skills of players from all four teams in the championship matches.
