KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: The “Warriors” continued their strong charge at the top of the Kuwaiti National Men’s Ice Hockey League for the season, recording their fifth win with a dominant 14-1 victory over the “Camels”.

The two-time defending champions now have 15 points from six matches, narrowly leading the “Stars” on head-to-head results. The Stars have the same point total but have played one fewer game. “Ice Stars” sit in third place with 12 points from four wins and two losses.

Team captain Jassim Al-Awadhi described this season as highly competitive, particularly among the top three teams battling for the title. He emphasized the Warriors’ determination to continue winning and to secure the championship for a third consecutive year.

Al-Awadhi, who also captains Kuwait’s national ice hockey team, added that this league campaign is an important stepping stone in preparation for the Level 4 Ice Hockey World Cup, set to take place in Kuwait in April. He also praised the ongoing support of the Kuwait Winter Games Club, which has played a key role in the steady improvement of all players.
