KUWAIT CITY, Feb 15: In a high-tension operation, two individuals were detained at the Jahra Police Station following a dramatic chase that ended with deliberate damage to a patrol vehicle. The arrests came after charges were filed for damaging state property, attempting to flee, and disobeying security personnel.
A security source revealed that authorities had received information about a person whose Kuwaiti citizenship had been revoked and who was wanted on financial cases and a court ruling, hiding at a relative’s residence. A team was quickly dispatched to apprehend the suspect.
Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspect attempted to flee, sparking a pursuit. During the chase, a second vehicle, driven by a Gulf national friend of the suspect, deliberately rammed the patrol car in an effort to aid the escape. Backup was immediately called, and both the fugitive and the accomplice were apprehended.
The source confirmed that the wanted man will be transferred to the Central Prison, while investigations continue into the incident and the deliberate attack on state property.
