‘Walking on beach allowed for two’

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: Walking on the beach (exercise) along the beach is permitted provided not more than two people walk together, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Rai daily.

The source added after the sea fronts and beaches are declared ‘no go’ places by a Cabinet decision, legal measures will be taken against those who do not abide by law since all barbecues or gathering are banned, only sports are permitted to some extent.

The source concluded that it is not true that the Ministry of Interior is withdrawing the ‘identity’ of any person practicing sports on the beaches, explaining that the decision is clear; barbecues, smoking hookah or squatting on the beaches is totally forbidden.
