The victorious Waha High School captain raises the championship trophy.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: Al-Waha High School edged Mohammed Abdullah Al-Muhaini High School 1-0 to clinch the Warba Bank Soccer League title for the secondary stage in the Jahra region at the Sulaibikhat Arena. Meanwhile, Youssef Al-Athbi High School secured third place by defeating Sabah Al-Nasser 2-1.

Mutaib Al-Mutairi, the first director of physical education for the Jahra region, highlighted that the secondary stage league involved the participation of 8 schools in a knockout format spanning four days, culminating in the final that crowned Al-Waha as the champions. He emphasized the significance of reviving the secondary stage league after a hiatus of four years, underscoring the positive impact on students who engaged in competitive sports. Al-Mutairi expressed gratitude to the school union, general guidance, and Warba Bank for their commendable efforts.

In the realm of Warba Bank women’s volleyball competitions, the second round of the first group is set to unfold today, featuring two matches. The first contest features the previously defeated Kuwait University facing off against Boxhill College, while Gulf University, holding the lead, clash with the American University in the pursuit of extending their winning streak and claiming the top spot in the standings in the second match.
