KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: Authorities have assigned the Investigation and Inquiry Department in the Mutlaa area to summon an expatriate woman for questioning in connection with a case of phone misuse and defamation.
According to a security source, the investigation was ordered after a lawyer filed a formal complaint at the Mutlaa Police Station against the woman, who is reportedly his client in a case involving her ex-husband over alimony payments.
In his complaint, the lawyer stated that the woman had sent him a voice message accusing him of selling her case to her ex-husband, implying professional misconduct and breach of trust. The lawyer strongly denied the accusation, asserting that he had handled the case with full integrity and in accordance with the law, and that her allegations were completely unfounded.
To support his complaint, the lawyer submitted the audio recording of the message as evidence. Following the report, investigators were instructed to summon the expatriate woman for questioning, review the recording, and take appropriate legal action based on the findings of the investigation.
