KUWAIT CITY, Oct 20: Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi announced Monday that Visit Kuwait will be the only approved platform for receiving applications from local and international companies seeking to organize tourism, cultural, artistic, entertainment, and other public events in the State of Kuwait.
In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Mutairi said the digital platform — officially launching on November 1 — will serve as Kuwait’s unified portal for licensing and organizing events, streamlining processes and reinforcing transparency, efficiency, and speed in handling applications.
The initiative, he added, is part of the ministry’s media strategy for digital transformation across vital sectors and aims to unify procedures related to event management.
“The VisitKuwait platform is a strategic tool to drive cultural and tourism development and support the creative economy,” Al-Mutairi said, emphasizing its role in enabling the private sector to contribute meaningfully to organizing high-quality events that enrich Kuwait’s public life.
The minister also noted that VisitKuwait will be integrated with the Kuwait Visa platform, facilitating the management and organization of visitor and participant movement in and out of the country. This integration forms part of a comprehensive national plan aimed at positioning Kuwait as a premier regional destination for culture, tourism, and entertainment, in alignment with the Kuwait Vision 2035 development strategy.
