KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi revealed that the ‘Visit Kuwait’ platform will be launched on Nov 1, 2025, indicating the project is considered “a modern tourism pulse that opens horizons for an integrated experience.” In his speech at the launch of the national campaign titled, “Leadership by Will”, in Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center on Sunday, Al-Mutairi explained the ‘Visit Kuwait’ platform “is a unified national vision that brings together government and private entities under one umbrella, opens doors to partnerships with the private sector in hotels, restaurants, transportation, entertainment and sports, and provides local and international investors with a single window for communication and marketing.” Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah attended the event.
Al-Mutairi pointed out that “the platform is an institutional tourism memory consisting of everything related to visitors, citizens and residents -- from the electronic tourist visa to the interactive map that identifies destinations and introduces services, as well as the smart assistant ‘Rashid’, which answers inquiries at all times, and even provides offers and discounts in partnership with the private sector to enrich the tourism experience for beneficiaries.”
He confirmed that once the platform is launched on Nov 1, it will reflect the spirit of Kuwaiti hospitality, saying “welcome” to every visitor from the first moment. He went on to say that based on the methodology and vision of the ministry, Kuwait TV plays a vital role in stimulating the economic cycle of the arts by driving artistic production at all stages and strengthening its partnership with the private sector to provide a renewed programming map that reflects the spirit of creativity and achieve the goal of building a purposeful and sustainable media landscape.
He disclosed that Kuwait TV will launch a new programming cycle in October, featuring 18 diverse programs in the fields of culture, entertainment, art and other topics of interest to viewers. “These programs include those proven to be successful and have continued with new seasons, as well as those being shown for the first time, offering a fresh approach and topics that keep pace with the needs of society. These programs will be presented by a group of prominent media and creative professionals,” he stated. He added “we are taking a qualitative step towards consolidating the presence of the ‘News Channel’, which we consider the voice of the citizen and a platform for obtaining reliable information.”
He indicated that the ‘News Channel’ has 13 new programs to transmit news, analyze developments, and promote culture, in addition to the continuation of more than 15 developed programs that keep pace with modern standards in presenting news and interviews. He emphasized that this diversity creates a comprehensive landscape, which parallels what news channels offer regionally and internationally, making the channel a comprehensive platform that conveys developments, answers questions, and documents Kuwait’s leadership in various fields.

He said “it is a channel that does more than just transmit news, as it also creates stories depicting Kuwaiti society and present it through the voice of the citizens, serving as a mirror that reflects their reality and opens horizons of knowledge and awareness.” Regarding the campaign, Al-Mutairi revealed “it aims to highlight the role of Kuwaiti willpower in various fields. Through this, our fathers and grandfathers had accomplishments that contributed to our leadership, and our sons continue the journey of construction and innovation in line with a national vision that extends from the past and shapes the future.” He stressed that the launching of the campaign is an important milestone, during which “we will showcase a group of projects that reflect the strategic dimensions of the ministry and embody its vision of building modern media, creating a promising tourism scene, and establishing a cultural presence befitting Kuwait and its status. We are proceeding through our trust in Allah and determination derived from our wise leadership, as per the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah, to better serve the nation and its people, and realized their aspirations.” He stressed “these projects are not fleeting initiatives, as they are integrated steps that harmonize with each other to create a new image and open horizons for society, the private sector and youths, so that they become true partners in this journey.” He explained that at the forefront of these projects is the national campaign, which stems from “our belief that what distinguishes Kuwait throughout its history is that its people have never known the impossible.
Rather, they have faced challenges, created opportunities, and made willpower a path toward leadership in all our ambitions and endeavors, putting Kuwait at the forefront of development indicators. Kuwaiti people have inherited, generation after generation, a firm belief that Kuwait is a pioneering country. Its men and women have made exceptional marks in every field -- in the fields of humanity, science, economics, art and sports. These are shining names associated with Kuwait and depict its positive image to the world.” He asserted that talking about the past is a source of pride and encouragement for more efforts and giving, affirming these iconic figures serve as a call for every young man and woman to strive to become the icons of tomorrow and to carry the banner of leadership into the future. He added “the campaign is an integrated approach that reminds us of our past, makes our present an extension of the journey of giving and development, and opens the doors to the future we are shaping with our own hands, so that we can see Kuwait at the top, with its young men and women as distinguished ambassadors for their country in every forum.” He revealed the campaign begins with each individual in their position, responsibility and ambition, transforming willpower into a unifying value that makes a difference.
“Exercising willpower in our daily actions brings us closer to our goals. This approach is the path for the nation, families and individuals. It instills a sense of national responsibility and makes every step characterized by willpower contribute to building a distinguished present and a prosperous future,” he concluded.
