KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8:  Kuwait National Men’s Cricket team led by Captain Aslam returned as Champions of the ICC - International Cricket Council T20 Asia A Qualifiers from Qatar after defeating Saudi Arabia by 4 wickets in an epic finale and were given a warm welcome by KCC Director General Sajid Ashraf along with senior KCC members Melwyn Serrao, Saud Qamar, Tahir Khan, Ali Talib and Naser Imran at the Kuwait International Airport.

Kuwait will now play the Asian Finals of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers scheduled to take place in Cricket Association of Nepal-CAN from the 28th of October onwards where Hong Kong, UAE & Bahrain are placed in Kuwait’s group whereas the other group comprises Nepal, Singapore, Oman & Malaysia.
The top two teams from each group will play cross semi-finals and the finalists of this tournament will qualify and go on to play the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024 scheduled to take place in the West Indies and USA.
