Victims of Human Trafficking: “Streets of Kuwait filled with money”

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 19: The episodes of visa traders series continue to unfold to reveal new and various surprises, indicating in human trafficking crime with more then one persons involvement nexus with the owners of companies that recruit victims workers from abroad and other then victim no one can express their pain

The Public Prosecution continued its marathon investigations into cases of human trafficking and visa trading and decided to continue the detention of the 15 accused in the 6 cases, out of 26 cases received by MOI so far.

The victims who numbered more than 100 workers to sponsor companies in violation of the law, confirmed during the investigations that they came to the country through brokers/agents from their countrymen residing in Kuwait and they have direct contact with the owners of the companies they work or benefit from.

The victims admitted that these brokers had deluded them that they would find money in Kuwait on the streets and they only had to collect them and put them in their pocket, and accordingly they sold their properties, and borrowed some of their relatives, in order to come to Kuwait to collect the funds easily.

The victims confirm that they did not meet the sponsors and did not know anything about them before they came to Kuwait, but they were surprised after they entered the country, that they had no work and no money on the streets.

As for the defendants, who are owners of companies, in addition to the largest number of expatriates working as brokers, the prosecution seized their accounts after it was revealed that they possess large amounts of money in exchange for bringing their fellow countrymen to the country.

Initial information indicates that there are many expats of who share the money with the employer and incite them to open fake companies until they bring in the labor and accumulate them in exchange for obtaining at least 1,000 KD and leave them on the streets after stamping their residence.
