No tourist visas issued to Kuwaitis: Russia embassy
KUWAIT CITY, June 24: The Russian embassy announced that it does not issue tourist visa to the nationals of most countries, including Kuwaitis, at present; clarifying that Kuwaitis are allowed to enter Russia only for treatment and those who have Russian first degree relatives (husband-wife-children), reports Al- Qabas daily. In a statement to the daily, the embassy disclosed that some exceptional cases are exempted from travel restrictions; including participation in official events such as international conferences and tournaments (championships).
The embassy stated that travelers from Kuwait or other foreign travelers heading to Russia must undergo PCR test 72 hours before arrival. If the result of the PCR test is in Arabic, the traveler must visit the Consular Section of the embassy for authentication. The embassy added that before traveling, the traveler is required to fill out a form for monitoring the health status of those entering Russia on the website www.rospotrebnadzor. ru The embassy went on to say that foreigners are required to present a medical certificate in Russian or English confirming the negative result of a laboratory test for covid-19 (PCR test) when boarding the aircraft.
The test should have been done no earlier than three calendar days before arrival in the Russian Federation. If it is not possible to submit the certificate in Russian or English, it is allowed to have the document in the official language of the State where the medical organization, which issued the medical certificate, is situated. In this case, it is necessary to attach a Russian translation of the certificate notarized by a consular official of the Russian Federation. Before arrival at the Russian Federation, foreigners must fill out a questionnaire — the sample of which is available on the official website of Rospotrebnadzor.
