KUWAIT CITY, Jun 29: A dispute between two young women inside an upscale shopping mall in Farwaniya Governorate has escalated into a police case after an argument allegedly turned into a verbal and physical altercation involving the misuse of a mobile phone.

According to a security source, mall security personnel intervened to separate the women and bring the situation under control before both were taken to a police station for legal procedures.

One of the women alleged that she was verbally insulted, physically assaulted, and subjected to the misuse of a mobile phone following the dispute inside the mall.

The other woman denied the allegations, claiming instead that she was the victim of verbal abuse and that the complainant had filmed her during the confrontation without her consent.

The source said investigators are expected to review the mall's surveillance camera footage, as both women have provided conflicting accounts of the incident and there are no independent witnesses to establish how the altercation began. The investigation is ongoing.
