CARACAS, Feb 3, (Xinhua): Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez held a meeting with Laura Dogu, charge d'affaires to the US Venezuela Affairs Unit, in Caracas on Monday. "The meeting took place within the framework of the working agenda between the two countries," Miguel Perez Pirela, minister of communication and information, said on social media.

The meeting comes nearly one month after the US military attacked Venezuela and captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, leaving at least 100 people dead and dozens injured. Despite having described the US aggression as a serious violation of international law, the acting president has said that the priority is to preserve national stability. "We are going face-to-face. We are entering a diplomatic battle," Rodriguez said.
