Vehicle Stolen After Being Left Running for Less Than Three Minutes

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 23: Authorities in Taima have launched a search for a vehicle reported stolen after its owner allegedly left it running and unattended outside his home for a short period.

According to the report, a citizen told police that he had left his car unattended for less than three minutes while he entered his house. During that time, an unknown person reportedly got into the vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction.

The investigator at Taima Police Station ordered the vehicle’s description to be circulated to all Ministry of Interior patrols and directed that a case be registered as “theft by an unknown perpetrator.”

An order was also issued to arrest the occupants of the reported vehicle, if located, and bring them to the police station for questioning.

In addition, the investigator directed that a traffic violation be issued against the vehicle’s owner, the complainant, for leaving the vehicle running and unattended.
