Vacate homes by Sept 1, East Taima citizens told

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) notified beneficiaries of government-owned housing in East Taima that they must vacate their homes by September 1. PAHW sent notifications to 509 vacant plot owners through the Sahel app. The message informed the concerned individuals that PAHW had issued a decision to terminate their lease contracts. PAHW’s decision comes as part of the implementation of Decree Law No. 83/2025, which repealed Article 29-bis of the Housing Welfare Law, also known as the “those who sold their houses” law. The article was canceled in July 2025 and published in the official gazette “Kuwait Al-youm”.
