KUWAIT CITY, Mar 3,: The U.S. Department of State has updated its Travel Advisory for Kuwait following the ordered departure of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and their family members effective March 2. While the advisory’s risk indicators remain unchanged, the summary now reflects adjustments to U.S. Embassy operations in Kuwait.

The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait announced that it will remain closed until further notice due to ongoing regional tensions. All regular and emergency consular appointments have been canceled, and the embassy stated that it will notify the public once normal operations resume.

Also, The U.S. State Department ordered the evacuation of non-emergency personnel and family in Bahrain and Jordan. The State Department made the announcement online. It said the decision came “due to safety risks.” The State Department has urged Americans across the Middle East to leave over the ongoing war with Iran.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Saudi Arabia acknowledged coming under attack from Iranian drones on Tuesday, urging Americans to avoid the diplomatic post for the time being. The embassy wrote on X: “Avoid the Embassy until further notice due to an attack on the facility.” It said all appointments had been cancelled. The Saudi Defense Ministry earlier Tuesday said the embassy came under attack from two drones.
