WASHINGTON, March 24: The United States will continue its military operations against Iran, with a temporary pause applying only to strikes on energy infrastructure, according to a report citing a U.S. official.
Semafor reported that the five-day halt is limited to Iran’s energy sites, while attacks on military targets will proceed. “The stop on attacks for five days is only on their energy sites,” the official said, adding that operations against military facilities, naval assets, ballistic missile systems, and the defense industrial base will continue as part of “Operation Epic Fury.”
The report indicates a targeted pause aimed at limiting damage to energy infrastructure while maintaining pressure on Iran’s military capabilities.
However, the claims have not been independently verified. Reuters said that the White House, United States Department of State, and Pentagon did not immediately respond to requests for comment outside regular hours.
No official confirmation has yet been issued regarding the reported pause or the scope of ongoing strikes.
