KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: US Senator Mark Walczyk, also a Division Commander in the US Army Reserve, announced his deployment to Kuwait for a nine-month service, as reported by American media.

Walczyk conveyed the news to his constituents, expressing his commitment to service while acknowledging that this would coincide with a significant portion of New York State’s legislative session from January to June.

Representing the Republican Party in the 49th District, covering the western half of New York, he assured voters that his team would diligently work in his absence, having hired additional staff to provide necessary services. Although he won’t be able to vote on legislation during his time in Kuwait, he can still submit draft laws for Senate consideration.

Walczyk, an Army Reserve member for 12 years and commander of the 791st Advanced Engineer Support Division expressed pride in serving the US Armed Forces, stating, “I am ready to serve, participate, and defend the enemies of the United States. I am an American soldier defending freedom and the American way of life, and I will be back before you know it.”

Senator Dan Steck, representing the 45th District, commended Walczyk’s dedication, expressing best wishes for his safe return and ensuring continued services for his constituents in St. Lawrence County during his deployment.
