BAGHDAD, Apr 24: The United States Department of State has announced a reward of up to $10 million for information on Hashim Finyan Rahim al-Saraji, also known as Abu Ala al-Wala’i, a senior figure leading the Iran-aligned militia Kata’ib Sayyid al-Shuhada (KSS) in Iraq.

In a statement issued under its Rewards for Justice program, the department said al-Saraji is accused of directing attacks against US personnel and facilities in Iraq and Syria, as well as involvement in violence against Iraqi civilians.

The US State Department said individuals providing actionable information leading to his location could be eligible for financial compensation and relocation assistance as part of the program.
