WASHINGTON, July 20: US service members aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4) are supporting round-the-clock flight operations in the Arabian Sea as the US Central Command (CENTCOM) continues enforcing a naval blockade against Iran.
According to the US military, as of July 20, American forces have redirected seven commercial vessels and disabled one vessel to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports.
The operations are part of increased US military activity in the region amid escalating tensions involving Iran and efforts to restrict maritime movements linked to Iranian ports.
