TAMPA, Sep 2: The US Navy has redirected 86 commercial vessels as part of efforts to enforce a US blockade against Iran, according to a US military update issued Wednesday.
As of September 2, US forces have also disabled three vessels and boarded two others in operations aimed at ensuring commercial shipping complies with the blockade, the update said.
The figures highlight the growing US military enforcement activity involving commercial maritime traffic in and around waters linked to Iran.
