TEHRAN, Jul 24: US missile and drone attacks targeted five Iranian provinces early Friday, according to Iran's state news agency IRNA, as Washington continued its military campaign against Iran.

IRNA reported that the strikes hit the provinces of Isfahan, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Markazi and Hormozgan.

Separately, IRGC-affiliated Tasnim News reported that four people were killed and five others wounded in a US missile strike on sites near the southwestern city of Ahvaz during what it described as the 13th night of US attacks. The report cited Khuzestan provincial authorities.

In western Iran, two people were injured in a US drone strike on the outskirts of Khorramabad, according to the deputy governor of Lorestan province for political and security affairs.

The official did not disclose the intended target of the strike or provide further details on the condition of the injured.

The reports could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate comment from US officials on the reported casualties.
