KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait has urged American citizens in the country to exercise heightened vigilance as tensions across the Middle East continue to create a complex security environment with the potential for unforeseen escalation.
In a security alert issued on September 1, the embassy advised Americans currently in the Middle East to remain alert and prepare for possible disruptions to air travel, including flight cancellations, airspace closures and other travel interruptions.
The embassy also urged Americans traveling to or from the region to closely monitor developments affecting airport and airline operations.
Travelers were advised to check the status of their flights directly with their airlines or through the official Kuwait International Airport website https://www.kuwaitairport.gov.kw/en/ before heading to the airport.
